The best time to visit Venice is the off season – it’s cold and wet and makes the appearance of the sun that much more rewarding.  Is it raining?  Doesn’t matter.  Cloudy or overcast?  Don’t care.  The worse the weather, the more interesting the city is – it also keeps the tourists and self-stick vendors at bay.  All the most rewarding photos are off the beaten path away from the tourist magnets of the Piazzo San Marco and the Bridge of Sighs.  I haven’t ignored them, but I made sure to visit during weather when most folks stay inside.  I will certainly return, one week isn’t nearly enough time to capture all that Venice has to offer.  Weeks could be spent just on the food.  All photos taken with the Nikon D810/Zeiss lenses or Ricoh GR II.DSC_5368-EditDSC_5374-EditDSC_5406DSC_5409-EditDSC_5414DSC_5441-EditR0000240R0000245-Edit-EditR0000265R0000269R0000272-2R0000319-3R0000336R0000425-EditR0000489-Edit-Edit
